HANDS OF HAITI ART EXHIBIT UNVEILED AT MIA
More than 60 Major Works by “Artists in Distress” to be Unveiled September 2
 

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FL – A relief program to support Haitian artists affected by the country’s devastating earthquake in January has resulted in Hands of Haiti, an exhibit featuring more than 60 major works by artists living in Haiti who have continued their craft despite their challenging circumstances.

FREE SMALL CLAIMS COURT CLINIC TO FOCUS ON HOW TO COLLECT ON A JUDGMENT

SENATOR JOHN SAMPSON TAPS GUYANESE FOR COMMUNICATIONS JOB

NEW YORK (August 26, 2010) - Errol Cockfield, who was born in Guyana and also lived in Trinidad before emigrating to the US at age 10, will run communications for Democrats in the New York State Senate, beginning early September.

Senator John Sampson, the Democrat Majority Conference Leader, who also has Guyanese heritage, has recruited the 36 year-old Cockfield as Communications Director of the Senate Democratic Majority.
