It’s that time of year again and the SFBJA is collecting new (unwrapped) toys, gift cards, small personal electronics or cash to give to needy children in Broward County’s youth welfare system. This year we’ll be working with Plantation-based non-profit ChildNet (www.childnet.us) 

Your gifts will help spread some holiday cheer to many deserving children and teens aged 0 to 18 years old.  

The SFBJA is collecting gifts and monetary donations through Dec. 3, 2010.  

Please drop off your donations and gifts with SFBJA secretary Arlene Satchell at the Sun Sentinel (asatchell@SunSentinel.com; 954-356-4209) , or with Toy Drive co-chair Terence Shepherd at The Miami Herald (tshepherd@miamherald.com; 954-648-8035).

Membership renewals for 2011:

SFBJA is offering a $10 discount on all membership categories (full, associate, student) now through Dec. 31, 2010. The offer applies to new memberships and renewals. 

Since membership fees become due January 1, all current 2010 memberships will expire Dec. 31, 2010, unless otherwise stated on card.  Please note the code "$10 OFF rate" on your checks or membership forms.  

Members can renew at the Dec. 3 holiday party or can mail in the membership form (postmarked no later than Dec. 31, 2010) to qualify for the discount.
